Bug Fixes

• NeuroSolutions for Excel: The best weights of the network were not getting saved the first time a network was run when in evaluation mode.
• NeuroSolutions: The best weights of the network were not getting copied from the temporary folder to the breadboard folder when the breadboard was first saved.
• Interactive Book: Several of the examples crashed NeuroSolutions when running Windows XP.

Usability Improvements

• Custom Solution Wizard: Added a message box to tell user how to change their security settings if the creation of the Excel Project Shell (with Excel XP) fails.

• NeuroSolutions: The Genetic Optimization Log kept overwritting the same line.
• NeuroSolutions: Program would crash on some breadboards that had shared weights.
• NeuroSolutions: Divide-by-zero error when all values of the desired output are identical.
• NeuroSolutions: Generated code would not compile when the Learning switch was not checked.
• NeuroSolutions and NeuralBuilder: Files with greater than 2^16 characters could not be read. This maximum has been raised to 2^18.
• NeuroSolutions: The columns selection status could not be accessed via OLE.
• NeuroSolutions for Excel: When using "activeSelection.XXX" while training with "Vary a Parameter", the selection was getting removed during the breadboard preparation. This caused an error because the parameter value for the selection could no longer be set.
• NeuroSolutions for Excel:When using Genetic to Train and optimize inputs, if the genetic determined that a different number of inputs should be used, when the user attempted any testing procedure, they would get an error saying that the weights don't match the number of inputs specified by the data. This input change check/message was removed if there is a genetic control.
• NeuroSolutions for Excel: When using Genetic to Train, NeuroSolutions for Excel was not turning off the Hidden PEs, Step, and Momentum optimization if they were on in the NeuroSolutions breadboard and the user turned them off in the NeuroSolutions for Excel dialog.

Bug Fixes

• NeuroSolutions crashed when trying to build a Recurrent or Jordan/Elman network from NeuroSolutions for Excel.
